Dang, that's a bummer on the fire. Seeing pictures of old cars that got claimed by the fire always makes me a little sad.
Those shocks were probably replaced a long time ago  If you don't have a sway bar on the front, that's a great mod to improve the cornering feel. I put one on mine and it made a world of difference
