2022 Americans reflections car show.

The American Reflections Car club of Yakima Wa held their annual car show today at the Moxee Wa park.

There weren't a lot of Chevy trucks but there were some interesting ones that were there.

The photos are in the order taken and aren't all 47/59 and may not be all GM Trucks.

The 69/72 big pickup showed up and I actually got it in it's correct color today. I think it messed with the gent in the blue/gray shirt with orange sleeves' mind more than a little as he walked around it a number of times trying to figure it out. That truck is so well done that it looks like it rolled out of the factory that way.

The Black and Gray TF I am not sure that I have shown before, it has some interesting details on it and is pretty well turned out. It's hard to photograph a truck when the owners set up camp right beside it though.

The Maroon AD was new to me and sported a club plaque from Ellensberg.

Nice Maroon paint.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

This little Deco Chevy truck had some nifty tail light and backup lights.

The Backup lights are bike items. Tail lights are 37 Car.

The old trunk for a trunk is pretty cool too.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

My computer or the internet is running pretty slow tonight.

All of the photos I took today are here
https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/20...how-Moxee-WA-/

This little Blue AD is one of the nicest trucks I have seen in a while. Great attention to detail and the interior is first rate.

The fu fu dog evidently have a great opinion of "rims" though.

When the guy with the AD truck on his shirt finds a nice AD truck it gets more photos taken of it.

I really like the interior.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

Two more interior shots of the blue truck.

The square 4x4 short box has been around the area for years and is a pretty nice truck but is starting to show it's age. Hard to find a short box 4x4 that year around here though.

The GMC with the blown 302 made it to another event, The owner is quite often the guy who is in charge or in the background pulling strings when the Vintiques of Yakima put on their show.

Nicely restored 57 with the requisite restorer info about that model of Chevy trucks.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

Three square trucks that I see quite often and a stone stock 67 Camaro ragtop with a 250 in it. Totally unmolested car.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

Ok OT but it does have one of those engines they used in GMC truck for a few years.

In 1961 when I was 14 years old this was my absolute dream car. 61 Pontiac Ventura coupe, 389, Tri-power and 4 speed. I spent many a Sunday morning on Weekends with Dad looking through the windows of Pontiac dealerships between Seattle and Tacoma on Sunday mornings and in Late 60 and most of 61 hoping to see this exact model at the dealer.

I'm not sure what the story is on the shrunken Square truck. wheels say it has probably had an unusual chassis swap.

Then the nice Maroon Deco truck with a load of Rally wheels in the back.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

67/72 Blazer, Truck and burb in a row. All nice rigs

Then over on the other side was my niece Chrystal with her What I crave food truck serving up tacos and sliders and some other goodies to keep the participants fed. Gourmet food an not your run of the mill food truck stuff. It started to rain just before I decided I wanted a Shrimp taco an a couple of sliders though so I passed this time.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

Back over in the corner in the line of the members of the club that put the event on was this little 59 Elkie with 3 2 barrels on a small block.

I bought one March 24, 1970 the day my son was born. We had tried it out the day before and made the deal and I had to finish some financing the day he was born. It was a 235 stick and pretty rusty in the flor board when all was said and done.

Back in the cheap seats behind the Elkie was this 69/70 that had a few tricks going.

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

Last page.

This one is a 69/70 Chinook Chassiss mount camper on a Chevy chassis.

It was built 7.9 miles from where it was sitting in the park. The owner said that he had spent quite a bit of time restoring it to this state. It's what Chinook called a party model as it had a table in the back with a wrap around bench.
The pre mini motor home rig. I've got a slide in camper that matches it for my 71.

Last, out in the parking lot on the way to my car I spotted this short stepside leaving and got a shot of it. That's all folks.

Remember to check out the album https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/20...how-Moxee-WA-/

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

the lady with the fu fu dog that she allows to pee on somebody's wheels.....at a car show....absolutely no respect or idea of what she is doing.she should be the one cleaning the wheels and told to leave her dog at home next time. you cant blame the dog for that, it's the owner who needs education.
post 8, the white 64-66 chevy sitting on the corvette chassis (?), I wonder what it would look like if he had made that a unibody instead of having the short strip of box ahead of the wheels. lots of custom bodywork on that if you look at the wheel openings and how they got moved

Re: 2022 Americans reflections car show.

She was looking off in the other direction when he did it and wasn't knowingly letting him do it. When I took the photo I told him that he was in trouble now and she was a bit more than embarrassed.

That didn't bother me as much as the two adults in full riding gear pushing bicycles though the park rather than locking them up against the fence or bike rack and walking though. Bicycles always scare me at car show.
