GMC vs. C10 hoods....

Will a 67-72 GMC hood fit a same model Chevy C10 and match up with the fenders/cowl line? I know the slope on the front edge is different but are they interchangeable otherwise...

Re: GMC vs. C10 hoods....

My understanding is that 67-68 GMC K10/Chevy C10 sloping hoods are interchangeable for those years. The 69-72 GMC/Chevy non-sloping hoods are interchangeable for the 69-72 model years.

I believe (don't quote me) the 67-68 hoods will fit on 69-72 models and vice-versa, but may not align well with the fenders.

Re: GMC vs. C10 hoods....

68-72 GMC fenders are the same style as '68 Chevy fenders. GMC didn't change when the Chevy line did in MY '69. '67 fenders are just like them but no hole cut for the Side Marker Reflecter.
The design change in '69 included the blunt nose hood on the GMC line. In order to keep using the old style fenders, GMC Radiator Supports must have had to be changed.
[My theory. I have no GM line experience.]

Re: GMC vs. C10 hoods....

Chevy and GMC hoods are the same, other than the GMC letters or the Chevy bowtie. Everything else is exactly the same in a given year, including slope. 67/68 Chevy/GMC = same, 69-72 Chevy/GMC = same.
