1981 gmc

I may have found a rare truck but not sure. I found a square body GMC made in 1981, all optioned out but has plush bucket seats and sunroof with some serious graphics on the body. It’s a Sierra Grand and fully loaded from factory but looks like a truck version of those old boozy vans. Anyone know if this is a real thing or just a later mod and not from factory or period correct?

Re: 1981 gmc

Sorry about that I was trying to get the pictures in a format that this site would allow for me to upload them. So here are some basic pictures of the truck. It looks weirdly factory and has a sunroof which is very well done, not warped and not leaking despite the age and look of the rest of the truck. If it is a factory option or dealer option it could be quite rare and cool so I would restore it but if it is not a real era correct thing done in 81 I may either pass on the truck or hot rod it. Just dont want to wreck a part of history if it is the real thing

That's weird. gcm why did you post the same thing about this twice? For anyone reading this, don't bother answering here. There's much more discussion in a second thread about this same question. Just look for another thread with 1981 posted by gcm.

This was the first thread but for whatever reason the pictures would not show up. I tried using my laptop, and my cell phone. So I started the other thread and then the pictures showed up on this thread.

Oh, that's odd. Sorry to hear it. Glad that the other one worked.
