? for Entropy radiators
I have a Entropy radiator for my LS/LC9 in my 70. The overflow fitting has machine treads instead of pipe threads.
My ? is how has anyone sealed the overflow fitting to the radiator. I used many layers of silicon plumers tape. This only last a few months before it breaks down and then no suction-no refill. I also tried form-a-gasket but the antifreeze seems to not let it cure. Any suggestion would be appreciated. |

Re: ? for Entropy radiators
If you have the correct thread fitting, use something like Permatex Indian Head sealer. You'll be cussing when it's time to take that fitting out, though.

Re: ? for Entropy radiators
Can’t you just drill it out and rethread it.

retap voids warenty
Entropy said silicon tape but it doesn't last. Tomorrow I will take a look and see if an O ring might work Thanks |

Re: ? for Entropy radiators
I searched and found several different machine thread barbs but not sure what you need.
You got a quick pic of it plus size? |

Re: ? for Entropy radiators
I use this stuff. BBC engines require thread sealer on the head bolts as the bolts go into water jackets. I have never had a problem.

Re: ? for Entropy radiators
A further search found this.
Are you sure the barb isn’t 1/8 inch npt. The threads on them look a lot like machine threads. https://www.stevesnovasite.com/threa...nipple.680827/ |

Re: ? for Entropy radiators
1/8 npt wont fit
The barb fitting is what came with radiator Thanks to typerr's suggestion - I took a closer look at neck and found a flat boss where its drilled and tapped. This will enable the use of an oring. Thanks to all |
