1962 C10: The Return of Rocky

Inherited my dad's 1962 Chevy C10 back in 2011. Second owners, and it's been in the family since 85. Still remember being picked up from elementary school in it, and of course who could forget their first driving lesson trying to shift a 3ott! It was in a wreck in the mid 90s which took it off the road when my dad decided to replace the bed and broken bed wood.

It's a Fremont made long fleetside, 283, 3.90 gears, and 3ott originally. Done different things to it along the way, got a t5, and a 75ish front crossmember which this site was tremendously helpful with! Just was basically getting it back on the road with a few upgrades. Had some big health issues that sidelined the project, but I'm back at it again. It's more together than these pictures would show. The bed and cab are all assembled and complete. It just needs the front clip put on and the drivetrain installed.

The Rocky story: my dad painted the grill and headlight bezels black, so it's a white truck with black stripe across it's eyes and face basically. Called it Rocky since then.

That's pretty cool having your dads truck to refurbish. Welcome to the forum.

Took me a minute but I got it - Rocky Raccoon. Great old camper that was on it. Cool truck and it will be nice to drive the way that you're putting it back together.
