I agree with this. Your fan is too far in the shroud. I'd also suggest a 6 or 7 blade clutch fan. I would be willing to bet with these two changes you would see a drop of 20* + degrees in operating temps. I went through this with my '65 a few years ago and going from a 16" electric fan to a 17" 6-blade clutch fan with a shroud made a huge difference in running temps on it.
