unlike the big box stores (Home Depot / Lowe's) this Lincoln 140C is what I would call Industrial grade, it has metal guts and gears and parts inside of it and not plastic ones like the other ones called weld packs, just try to pick it up and you will see how much heavier it feels than the other cheapos, so I highly recommend it, it runs on only 120 volts but 20 amps and is plenty for car / truck repair, the frame for instance looks big but it's only 1/8ths thick as are most brackets, and this does up to 3/16ths nicely
