Seat bracket identification

So I bought a 72 Blazer last year, had new seat frames made by Rick's and tried to fit the passenger rear brackets on but the holes don't line up and it's a little tight in for the rear bracket, the handle also hits the back of the seat. Looking at the front bracket, it looks like a 73-77.

Looking at other posts it looks like the rear is a correct 67-72 but someone was using the front bracket from a layer model. Is it possible that both of these are later than 72?

Thanks for looking.

Re: Seat bracket identification

The rear looks correct to me but I don’t have mine in front of me. I have to say I was not aware anyone was making seat frames. Is that Ricks Upholstery?

Re: Seat bracket identification

Yes, it was Ricks Upholstery. The seats are made well, I guess I’ll have to modify the rear bracket a little and maybe get the correct front pivot brackets.

Re: Seat bracket identification

How far off are they? I know my originals bolt right up. Hopefully they aren’t using 73 up pattern. If you don’t mind what was the cost for the build on them? Any pics?

Re: Seat bracket identification

Rear bracket looks correct, front is 73 and up. I think it should all bolt up to the seat however.

Re: Seat bracket identification

The seats were right around 2k shipped, took about 6 months. I'll post a picture of the seats when I get home from work tonight.

The bolt holes look like they are off by an inch or so, for both the 73 in the front bracket and the correct 72 in the rear. At least I know they will bolt to the floor.

Re: Seat bracket identification

Try to grab some measurements on the seats. I’ll be back home Wednesday and I can compare to mine.

Re: Seat bracket identification

The rear is 71-72 the front is 73+. If the frames are 73+ the very rear holes on the rear bracket will have to be oval’d out inward for them to fit. These are 71/72 blazer/Jimmy passenger side
