60-66 Chassis vs 67-72 chassis
Hello folks. I normally post in the 1973-1987 section, but I was recently given a 71 or 72 gmc 3/4 ton 4wd truck. There is no bed on it and the sheet metal is destroyed, but the chassis is fine. I am curious if the chassis are the same or similar to the 1960-1966 chassis, because I am thinking of buying a 2wd 1960s truck and swapping the body onto the 4wd chassis, but only if it's a fairly direct swap.

You can use a 67-72 frame under a 63-66 if things are tweaked to work. I'm using a cut down '68lwb frame under my swb '64.
