Ground question ?

Where, and how, do you get the best grounds for the parking light housings in the hood, and the tail light housings in the box.

Re: Ground question ?

Everything is grounded to the body or frame. Start with your battery and follow the negative wire, if it goes to the engine then is there a ground strap from the engine to the body? Engine to the frame? Frame to the bed?
I'd get some grounding straps and make a clean area on the body to hood, then make sure the area the hood lights are fastened to is clean (for a ground there).
Same with the bed, ensure a clean ground and where the tail lights attached to the bed.

Re: Ground question ?

You're in Pennsylvania. I'd recommend some sort of sealer on the ground straps to limit corrosion. It can be as simple as white grease schmeared on them.

Re: Ground question ?

Run a screw right into the tail light buckets. Connect that with a wire to a cleaned spot on the bed inside that light opening. Then, a ground from the box to the frame. Then, one from the box to the cab. And another from the cab to the frame. This solves lots of problems, and worked for me!
