Thumbs down Project Copperhead

To quote those famous words " Wheres The Beef " I thought this show was the big payoff. I guess they meant by " Ready to roll ", roll it back into the garage and drag out the completion for another season. I am losing interest fast.

I have been reading about this project on this board for some time. I never remember to watch the show but today I caught it and was let down too. I could have sworn that he said after the break they were going to take it for a spin .

Looks like it might take a another year to finish....Darn thing should fly. Wouldn't it be nice to have unlimited bucks to throw at your truck like that...

Wouldn't it be cool if one of these shows did an actual "low buck" build up? One that showed the guys going in a junkyard and actually getting dirty pulling parts because they didn't have umpteen thousand dollars to throw in one. Or sanding their ride and doing all the prep work because they didn't have $5,000 to pay a professional to do it. Give them a $4,000 budget and see what they could end up with. Now that would be something to watch. Later,........Jerry

Todays show wasn't bad. I was impressed with the Painless wiring harness for 67-72's and might consider getting that in the future. It features upgraded fuse box w/ blade style fuses instead of the old fashioned glass fuses. And EACH wire is labeled for where it is supposed to connect up!

Today's show was not what I was hoping for either, but the owner's of the show and the network are simply doing what they must do...keeping the final show of the most popular build on endless HOLD.

Why, so we all keep watching and talking about it...waiting, looking, wondering. As PO'd as we all may be at times...here we are still talking about it and turning on the show!

Bummer, but the world turns on that almighty dollar and that's what any TV show is about. I'll keep waiting and watching.

About all he did was showcase a ton of plumbing and wiring parts. Hardly did anything with the truck. Maybe next week we get to watch him install? I want to see that AC install for sure!

At least they're actually doing shows devoted to the C-10. Sounds like the finished project will be sick. I know I'll watch.

I like to call it the "goofus doofus truck show" normally i don't watch it but did watch for a few minutes today and got the impression that it's going to end up with a cartoonish dragstrip confrontation bettween stacey and jay, sort of similar to the tim allen bobvilla drag race

I think they are just dragging the show out now. Some of these latest things, the cover plate, nitrous manifold, seem to be sponser add ons that were not orginally intended when the buildup first began. The heater core holes would or should have been filled in before paint if AC was going into the truck instead of some rinky dink plate after the fact. Dont get me wrong the plate looks nice but I am getting the impression that they are just dragging this out for sponser advertising now.

I agreee dragging the show out. But every once in a while i catch something i have not seen before. Be glad to see the truck on the road hope we get to see some 1/4 drag strip time. I think if he could get traction he might do low 10.

You are dead on. That stainless plate he put on looks so out of place. Why not smooth the firewall before paint. Now he has a shiny plate that looks so wacked out.

Same here. I thought they were going to show more of that today than what they did....and it doesn't help any when they are just starting something before a commercial and when they come back they go into something else without revisiting what they were doing before the commercial..... as if in 60 or 90 seconds he can mount the air conditioner and install a polished aluminum firewall cover.

I gave up on waiting for Copperhead a LONG time ago because I know they're just using it to tease me into watching Stacey build up another Jeep or lift a big diesel that I'm never going to be able to afford anyway. When they finally do get it running, I'm sure Spike TV is going to play it over and over and over so it will be impossible to miss.

I get kind of tired of the SEMA informercials those shows have turned into. I used to like Trucks because they did show some of the nitty-gritty bust your knuckles kinds of buildups, instead of just how to blow 6 months pay over a weekend.

I'd probably watch if I still had cable, though

Greg
