I bought the polished adapters from Street and Perfromance. But I'm not going to be using them as I changed front suspensions after fitting the LS1. I want to slide the engine back towards the firewall as far as possible. If your interested in them I'll make you a great deal on them. If you want to buy your own or go with a unpolished version I think Ed at Mothertruckers said he was going to make some.

I supplied FirstGen with a drawing to make his own engine mount adapter pads. Email me and I will send it to you or FirstGen could do the same thing since he now has it. I am in the process of putting in a 5.3L from a SSR. I took out the 6cyl and tranny last night. Now the real fun begins.

68lss1 Are the adapters you have are the ones that bolt on the block and adapt it to the standard small block mounts? Drop me a e-mail on how much.

69Custom I would like to see what you have drawing of as well.

Like 68lss1 I dont have a stock suspension and want to set the motor back as far as possible.

69Custom: Can you please send me a copy of the diagrams for the mounts? I did a ls1 swap into my 67 Camaro and I'm curious about the mounts for the truck. Thanks!!

You should meet Larry Sanders. He's only a few miles from you, and specializes in doing LS1 swaps into all manner of vehicles.

TxFirefighter: Yea, I know Larry. A friend of mine named Heath Weaver used to work for him. I even went down there a few times and helped on a couple LT1 swaps into Jags. He's a pretty cool guy. He helped me learn how to weld on aluminum.

Hey gmcgrands where did you get your lq4/4l80e combo? I'm looking for one for my 72 blazer. Any info would be much appreciated.

Jamesjones, I bought it from a salvage yard in Tn. Tompkinsville auto salvage. Came out of a 2002 2500 2wd pickup with 22000 miles. I got it with harness, all accessories, air cleaner through oil pan and fan through trans yoke. Nice people and reasonable price.

Im still working on my front suspension at the moment just trying to find some ideas for engine mounting so can mock it up before i finish the suspension.

Cool, thanks. If you don't mind my asking what did you pay for them? Do you have their contact info?
