Re: Bought some new to me tires and wheels..
I had a 3" lowering block. I cut it in half with a bandsaw...now 1.5"
I may have to roll the edge of the left fender as the tires are close. Right side Is ok.

Re: Bought some new to me tires and wheels..
Ok, Suburban 99, what size and brand are those tires? I just figured out that mine are about 40 years old. So when the new house is finished, its time for new skins. Thanks

Re: Bought some new to me tires and wheels..
Suburban 99-I really like 'em, especially with your patina. Kind of a cool contrast. Never seen that style, color, tire combo.
I have to have some one-off's made due to driveline I'm using and was leaning toward modern take on artillery...now you've got me thinking again! |

Re: Bought some new to me tires and wheels..
I REALLY like the look. Personally Im a shiny paint guy and LOVE the dark green on AD truck but if you're committed to the "patina" look I'd scrub down the paint with CLR and a ScotchBrite pad then wax the crap out of it rather than clear it.

Re: Bought some new to me tires and wheels..
Very cool. I agree with Tempest67, looks like a Model A wheel like the ones I have. Hope they are welded wire wheels and not originals though haha.
Now the rest of the paint is screaming to be completed. Green does seem to go nicely with yellow wires
