this was funny to read because I do the same thing. I made a counter top extension, open underneath, to place my microwave on to free up counter space. Then I decided I could build a rack under that counter top to store the wooden cutting board, rather than leave on counter as it had been. now that I have a nice place for it I tend to grab the cheesy plastic cutting board I never ever used before

It's ironic that when you get something really nice then you don't want to use it.

It's like when I had my 81 Corvette. It was perfect. 11,000 miles and I almost never drove it. It sat in the garage and I banged around in a really beat up 1966 Plymouth Belvedere that I bought for $250 with about a million miles on it. People thought that I was nuts.

I remember running into this old neighbor of mine in the Belvedere. He was a cranky old guy.
I said Hello and he said. "Why in the hell are you driving that old POS around? Get a job.
