Help with 305v6

I need to replace a freeze plug on my gmc 305E and the dipstick tube is right in the way. I’ve undone the bracket and tried pulling, tapping up with a pair of vice grips clamped on it, etc. Are these 2 piece? I can’t find any info on it in the service manual and id like to know for sure how its supposed to come out before I get more aggressive. TIA

It does come out, easier to tap out with pan removed but try putting a piece of good fitting round stock (drill bit shank)and slip it into the dipstick tube and get medieval with it with some vise grips.

Re: Help with 305v6

Well the problem of getting to the freeze plug has been solved, I tried to gently bend the dipstick tube and it broke. So I guess I will slip some fuel hose and clamps over the break to get it back together and call it good.
