Question What holds the door opening rod on???

The rod that goes from the door handle to the jamb latch has come off!
I looked all around the bottom of the door for a clip or something but no luck!

What kind of clip holds the rod onto the latch on the 1967 trucks?

The rod has a 45 deg. bend where it goes into the latch but I can't find what holds it altogether!

I keep getting locked out! Ahhhhhhhhh!

iirc, there is afunky little metal clip that does the job, sounds like yours fell into the door. I'd check the bottom again, I had to use a magnetic wand to get all the tiny pieces that fell down in there when mine decided to fall apart on me.

THIS IS A PICTURE OF THE LITTLE CLIPS. THEY SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AT YOUR LOCAL AUTO PAINT SUPPLIER. (THATS WHERE THEYRE AVAIALABLE HERE) THEYRE COMMONLY REFERED TO AS "JESUS CLIPS" CAUSE WHEN YOU UNLATCH THEM & THEY GO FLYING ACROSS THE GARAGE, IT'S COMMON FOR YOU TO HEAR "JESUS... WHERE DID THAT CLIP GO??" JOHN

Never heard them called Jesus clips before. A little aircraft trivia though... The nut that holds the main rotor on a helicopter is sometimes called the "Jesus nut". I'm sure you can guess why.

You can get those little clips at AZ, checker, Napa and the likes. They are in the help section, or the carb parts section.

Same basic deal. Be sure of which direction the clip part goes before you buy.

Thanks again!
The problem is the chop
It makes the window track to close to the pin which pops it off!
I drilled a small hole in the rod and used a different clip!
Works great now!

Engineering baby!
