Parking Light / turn signal question?

Does the parking light / turn signal socket, take a 1 or 2 filament bulb?

What is the correct bulb number ?

Re: Parking Light / turn signal question?

It would be 2 as the ground is the plug body and there are 2 wires going to them as indicated on the wiring diagram.

Thanks, I'm still not sure what is going on.

The replacement bulb socket is plastic with 2 wires, one black, and one white.

I don't see any reason to ground the metal housing, as the bulb socket, is plastic

Do the dark blue, and light blue, wires connect to the black and white wires comming from the bulb socket.?

Re: Parking Light / turn signal question?

What's it look like inside?

Two contacts in the bottom would be a park light and a signal light, and use an 1157 bulb or something. The socket holder itself would be metal, and make the ground where it connects.

One contact in the bottom would be signal only, no park light, and the black would be your ground. Use an 1156 bulb I think.

I does have two contacts on the inside of the socket.

Do I connect the light blue, and dark blue wires coming from the harness to

the black & white socket wires, and ground the parking light metal housing??

I believe Skinny G is correct so you may have the wrong socket. It should be metal for the ground with 2 contacts in the bottom and use a 1157 bulb.
