59 GMC 270 heater hoses

Hi
My 1959 GMC 100 with the factory 270 6 cylinder water pump has two outlets on the left side to go to the heater and return. Does anyone know which one to connect to the bottom heater inlet hose with the cut off valve?

Re: 59 GMC 270 heater hoses

Are you sure that both are on the water pump?

Looking at this photo I snagged off inliners (creds to Ruben) the hose that comes out of the thermostat housing goes to the top of the heater core.

The return hose come out of the bottom of the heater core goes to the water pump.

OBTW for 99.9% of us "left would be the US drivers side as seen from the drivers seat as left and right on cars is always from the drivers seat facing forward.
