Well, I am confused. I can't seem to find any '60-'66 back up lenses in vendor catalogs to support my theory that the parallel-lined type were earlier than '68.
Here's my old OEM '68 lens, much crystalized by solar radiation.
You can see, with the concentric rings, the angle at which the lamp housing is mounted, isn't important, since it's a circle.
But with the parallel type, the lines on the Passenger Side run NW/SE, not level.
