Hood hinges

One pair of hood hinges in good working condition. I believe these to be reproduction units. They have overspray on them from the bodyshop.

$50 plus the ride from 97231.

I will pull the springs and check them to be sure.

Thank you, please let me know how you prefer to be paid. I’ve got Venmo, Zelle, and I think I have a PayPal account. Or I can send you a check the old fashioned way.

Re: Hood hinges

I removed the springs and the hinges have some play in them. Not knowing any other way to accurately convey the play I photographed the play with a ruler. They aren't rock solid tight, but they are no where near as bad as the hinges off my 300k mile GTO. Those were an extreme case of wear. I had removed the springs to lighten the car and found the hood closed better without them.

It also appears that the hinges were powder coated.

The background story is these were on my Burban when I bought it. When it was at the body shop they recommended getting rebuilt OE hinges. A couple months later I found a set of OE hinges and set them off to be rebuilt. The truck got out of the body shop before the hinges arrived and they ended up on a shelf in the garage. A couple years (and at least 20k miles) later I rediscovered them and decided I should install them in since I paid to have them rebuilt.

First the passenger side showing up and down play, then side to side play.
