Murder Murder Murder (headlights lol)
So, I've been looking for a set of headlights for the 65 but, I am looking for that certain look you see once in a while. The truck I'm talking about is of course mine, but it is black w/ white top, Big tire truck pure drag. With that being said, I want it to disappear as fast as possible in the dark (hence the flat black paint)
I have been looking like I said but the projection headlights are just plain ugly as all get out & I am not looking for halos. Just some dark(er) sealed beam 7" round headlights to bolt in the truck using its own (trucks) harness. I don't know if any of you know what I am looking for or not but got a good idea you do. What are you thinking would be the best for me or are using/know someone with them? I bought some crap for a conversion and threw in the trash. Although the blacked out look was there, they were H4 housings and as cheap as you could possible get. Lesson learned. I am not only looking for the murdered out look for the front end headlights, I would like them to be quality and maybe have the diamond crystal cut look to them. Basically I wasn't them dark (tinted) and look as good as you would want on your truck when it comes out from the restoration shop. What you thinking about as far as them bulbs go? I was looking at KC Gravity lights but there has to be better, nicer looking sealed beam bulbs made. I guess I can night shade the bulbs ut I would like them already done if possible. Thanks, |

Re: Murder Murder Murder (headlights lol)
They come out just under 80 bucks with shipping from this Toyota parts and trinkets vendor but these lights are rated alongside Cibie or Hellas and with some 55/100 bulbs in them and having them aimed right they should light up the road.
I just ordered a pair for my 48. I had Cibies in it before and at 100 plus couldn't outrun the lights as they would light up the road for a long distance. They are hard to find now. https://cruiserteq.com/oem-toyota-ko...-elec81110kit/

One potential option, Holley Retrobrights. They look like original stock headlights but with modern LED performance, ready to go, plug right in, don't require any type of relay upgrade. They are expensive but perform better than H4 lights. What I have done in the past is used Duplicolor Metalcast paint on headlights to tint them with a transparent color (yellow in my case). It holds up very well, you can achieve the color and shade you want simply by the number of coats you apply.
