I am very leery of removing the panel and trim-pieces as they look pretty good and don't want to make it worse, but I do want to insulate/sound deaden as so many others have relayed the benefits for these vehicles. If you don't get an answer on this by Tuesday I can dig out one of the front sections I have and take it over to my buddies and see how it fits in his truck.

Im just speculating but I believe the only thing different about the headliner area you are talking about is the actual height of the roof skin. Its taller on the burbs. The doors are the same except the door frame is squared at the rear on burbs. Wing windows, windshield all that stuff is the same. So maybe if its mounted via the perimeter it should work. Or if its partially glued to the roof you could make some spacers?

Thanks CG..."So you say there's a chance" (Dumb & Dumber reference) Interesting about the height differences in the roof skins...I'm wondering if the pre-drilled holes for the sun-visors will line-up???...then maybe the trim set they sell would hold it in place and some kind of filler piece would have to made if the trim doesn't go back far enough to reach the bow at the beginning of the second panel??? At a total of $350 for both, I'm not sure I want to take a chance...but maybe!?!

I did a google search of the board using "headliner" as the search category. Here are some pics. Quite a few in there of this molded headliner with the speakers. Maybe that would help you determine if they could possibly work in a burb.

Holy cow, CG...that's a lot of pic's...thanks a lot! My biggest concern is whether or not the pre-drilled holes for the visors line-up...if so, there must be a way to pull it all together. Those shots of the speaker-headliner look great which makes me want to do it even more, so I'm hoping HO455 has some good news for me if he is able to take his pattern to check it on his friends truck! Thanks again for the link.

Been away and catching up. The answer about truck versus burb front headliner is a solid "I don't have a clue." Any truck owners nearby that you could actually see and measure up? Just an idea. Good luck. Glad the dimensions helped. Another tip: be careful if use heat gun.... plastic bows can melt and get mis-shaped. OOPS.

Thanks for the response, PortHeadlight. So far, that's the consensus...however, I think HO455 might be able to clear it up by doing exactly what you suggested. 100% agree on the heat gun tip...they seem to be too hot for me to handle, so I'll go slow and only use my wife's hairdryer! (just don't tell her)
