73-74 had 69-72 style. 75-78 switched to rod style

smupser, thanks for posting that pic. That clears up for sure what the two differences are in the square body Blazers spare tire mounts. Good info there, thanks.

No problem Gary, that’s what we’re all here for.

To put it in perspective, the later rod style don’t go for much, most average for a complete setup at $150 or less. The earlier style go for at least $550-600 just for the carrier, more if you’re lucky enough to find one with all the correct parts. I think I paid around $600 a piece for two of them and both only had a couple of the parts with them. This is because they’re also 69-72 K5 carriers, which any hard to find part for those years, is worth their weight in gold.

Sorry to OP for the thread jack, just wanted to add some knowledge on what you were looking for.

I’ve got a pair of bucket seats one is pretty good one will need some welding. Both driver and pass mount hardware is included 350.00 plus shipping from west Kentucky
