A PITA, but there are a lot of rot bottom cabs out there with solid tops.
As far as the early '68 thing goes, I've known of one that could be considered that. I did a post on it many years ago. It was Dark Aqua with Fawn interior including paint, as I recall. I remember taking pictures of the paint divide areas. The seat folded forward and the dash knobs were '67 style. I am 99% sure the dash was a '67 dash. This was a big window truck, all original. I wish I could find that thread. It might not have been it's own thread, maybe a "small window '68" thread. If this truck had a white top it was done like the '67s. This truck was a true oddball
