Was a pretty common thing to do my stepper had two one on each step. They are dated 1964 .I left the holes to put them back on as I Think they look pretty cool and are lockable.

I run Jerry Can brackets full time in the stepwells. I can have one 5 Gallon can on each side. The Stepside is the fetch-mobile on Gas Nite, which is at the end of the month when I redeem up to 1000 VIP Points and get $1.00 off per gallon at supermarket X-branded gas pumps.
