67-72 Black Center Console
I have a 67 to 72 seat belt console that needs a new home. I bought this console for the GMC lid emblem and with the intention of keeping it for parts, but it’s way too nice and should be in a truck or blazer.
This console was originally parchment but had a bad spray job on it when I got it. I disassembled the console and stripped as much of the old black off as not to not lose any texture before I applied a thin spray of new plastic coat black. The chrome was tarnished, but some steel wool took care of that. All 4 mounting holes look good and it has as a new ash tray bezel. The ashtray looks to be a reproduction, way too clean to 50 years old. I installed a factory Chevy emblem to replace the GMC. The only damage I see on the console in the floor. Looks like someone drilled a hole for maybe some wiring to fit through and one other hole in the center. Neither of them hinder the outward appearance or effect the mounting. Looking to get 300 plus shipping for it and the first I’ll take it gets it. If you have any questions please let me know and I’ll get back to you asap. Thanks for looking, Scott Last edited by 72 Cheyenne K20; 10-25-2022 at 08:56 PM. Reason: Spelling |
