WTB 1 Ton Brake Stuff 1984

Guys I pulled a blowen 6.2 and installed a 454. I have a regular power steering pump for the 454 but the truck originaly came with Hydro boost. I would LIKE to convert to a vacume booster but heard the 1 tons do not stop well with the vacume booster.

So, I either need the 1 ton vacume booster, or the proper hydroboost powersteering pumb and braket for the 454.

ANYONE??

Stay with the hydroboost. The pump should work on the 454 but you may need to change the brackets.

Booster vs. Hydroboost

Man, Stay with the hydroboost. Mine was leaking, so I swapped it out with a 1 ton booster. Big Mistake. My truck will not stop for nothing! I am going to switch back as soon as I find a good one! As far as the lines go, use your regular pump, just put a "tee" in the low pressure line to make the third line needed in the hydroboost. I have done several diesel to gas trucks this way and not a single problem yet and they STOP! E-mail me if you have anymore ?????'s. Later
