I’m not sure what going on in Texas but the mice and rats are hungry. Almost all the wiring inside the engine bay is also gone. Plus a carb fire didn’t help wiring harness either.

Freaking nice did that?!?! I'd be in the war path. I learned a great way to trap multiple mice and you can look it up on YouTube. Take a 5 gallon bucket and put a piece of all thread through the top of the bucket with empty thread spools across the diameter of the bucket on the all thread. They have to spin freely. Put a gob of peanut butter on each spool and put 4 or 5 inches of water in the bucket. Build little ramps for the mice to get up to the top of the bucket and when they try to go out across the spools spin,they drop and drown. Empty and repeat. I caught 5 mice one night but you might have more

The mice maybe rats are long gone. They destroyed the engine bay in my truck. This was a farm truck it sat outside for over 30 years in one place. Submerged in Texas dirt. The old man farmer wasn’t the nicest guy I ever met. He wasn’t to crazy about me or my wanting to use his Oliver tractor to pull it out of that for forsaken Texas mud.
