Re: '64 C-10 Stalled Project Rescue
The exhaust is scheduled for early in the week following Thanksgiving. Will probably need to have it towed there, as I don't think I want to drive it all that way practically blowing flames out the bottom.
Going to try to get the wipers and hopefully seatbelts ordered and installed by then, so that I can drive it home (with a stop at DMV on the way) regardless of weather. In the meanwhile, another load of parts arrived today. Notably a front bumper and set of hub caps. A few other odds and ends as well, like a new antenna and some sending units for the idiot lights. The bumper is a pretty nice piece, being one of the new OER Premier line, which they claim is "show quality". Turns out it really is a pretty nice part, much heavier gauge metal than other repro bumpers I've seen, stout with little if any flex to it. Nice chroming with no visible finishing marks either. Definitely committed to the "steelies with hub caps" look now. Last edited by Arne; 11-03-2022 at 08:28 PM. |

Another bit in place. The exterior is almost complete.
