Better ride?! leafs or coil?????
I currently have leaf springs on the rear of my 72 GMC truck....but I will be going to a shorter frame since I bent the front in a wreck and don't think it can be repaired. So if I have to go to a smaller frame, my question is the ride.....they didn't make a leafspring shortbed to my knowledge in those days.

I have a 70 short/step Chevy that is leaf spring. But if your looking for the best ride and you are not going to do a lot of hauling of any weight, I would look for a coil spring frame.

even if you are going to do alot of hauling a coil spring suspension can handle it. the coil springs ride much nicer.

Even if your hauling Leafs only work good up until the GVW of the vehicle..........After that, "An OVERLOAD situation" the coils seem to work better because they stack up
 IMO, I don't think either or rides better if both have been rebuilt to like new...............A truck IMO should ride like a truck, if you don't like the ride buy a Caddy

I recently saw a 69-70 GMC Shortbed (stepside) that had leaf springs. It also has a Chevrolet front clip too...

Coils springs have a better ride and they don't "bounce" like leafs will.
