custom hood lock?
I don't have the factory hood lock release. I'm wondering if I could modify the non-hood lock hood to some how rig it so that there is a lock. Maybe even a keyed lock or a hidden lever to open the hood.

Re: custom hood lock?
I wanted to lock my hood on my square as well. o I am in process of adding the factory interior hood release.
I just bought all the parts off of a local guy selling Squarebody parts, a 1977 Squarebody with the interior hood release to add to my 1973 truck. The parts them selves weren't bad, I think I have $100 in all the hard parts, the upper grill mount, the lower latch for the same, the anti cut the cable guard (hides the cable), the hood hook and the support that keeps it all together. Then I went and powder coated them. Got the interior trim hood release from a square body at my local bone yard for like $5. The photo with the big yellow arrows is the upper grill mount. Its the piece with the yellow arrows touching them. Without this piece none of this works.
