I don't think they made 4 door suburbans prior to '73.

I think all 67-72's were 3 doors. all the others from the 60's were 2 doors, I think. If I'm wrong, we'll both know REAL SOON!

There were some special order 4 door burbs, but GM did not make them at the factory. They were done by the same company that did crew cabs, etc.... I think there were ordered by railroad companys.

Railroad companies huh. I will be in the market for a suburban soon, but I want '72 or older. I thought I was going to be stuck with only a 3 door. I sure would prefer a 4 door.

No, the Mexican brochure says "3 puertas" puertas meaning doors, and after than "2 puertas para" equipment, which would be 2 barn doors.

Sorry, I should have read my own translation. I think I was mixed up because there was a 2-door version of the Suburban in this brochure! Here's the translation and another pic:
In any one of these versions. A. Double cabin-3 doors with covered trunk “acquittal and pon” (removeable). Adaptable for passengers and load. As much in the rural life as in the city, their service and utility do not have competition. B. Like rural-3 doors-9 passengers-2 doors luggage. Great resistance and capacity. Indispensable in the industrial sector and the establishments of fields. Ample visibility. Great maneuverability. C. Rural 2 doors-2 doors, 6 passengers, 2 back doors for luggage. Amplitude and comfort. Strong and powerful, of smooth walking and great stability. Advanced design. Exceptional for city and field. D. Integral-2 van doors. Back load. Special for delicate loads. Strongly reinforced in its steel walls. Agile, very maneuverable in the urban zones. For commerce, industry, transport of charges. The quality is a single one! Because the quality not to puedambiar: it comes from mark. And this elegant and dinamica esdas versions of brave.
