69 C10 Front Body Panel Install Help? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Just wondering if there’s an order that I should install the fenders, grill, wheel tubs, etc on my 1969 c10.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

More than one way to skin a cat on this one.
On a truck with no worries on scratching paint, I put the rad support in first, (loosely), then inner fenders, then cowl vent, then fenders followed of course, by everything grill and headlight related. New paint? Tape every edge with a generous amount of good relase masking tape. (Blue) works fine. I have assembled the support, inners and fenders and got some help setting it in place as a unit, but only if I had all my shims numbered and ready to go. A mix and match of gm and aftermarket? I'd go with the 1st method.

The one thing I do, not mentioned yet, is before I start I cross measure from key points on the firewall to front of the frame to make sure the cab is on square. If the cab is off a hair, it ill make the front panel alignment a bear.
