new use for choke knob

I have a 1967 dummy light dash with a choke adjustment knob top right. I had planned to re-install the unused choke knob and leave it for nostalgic benefit, but has anyone found a better use for that?

My other idea is to mount a phone holder there. There's enough room to get a charging cable and bolt through the hole to mount the phone holder.

Here is what it looks like with a phone holder mounted there:

I put in an extra wiper switch I had connected to nothing just to have a knob there that looks like a choke

Re: new use for choke knob

This is what I did with mine. Pull on, push off switch. I ran my ignition power through it. It is a basic theft protection device but, more importantly since my Burban is a 67 it has no ACC position it allows me to listen to the radio when the engine is shut off without possibly damaging the coil.

Re: new use for choke knob

I bought a wiper delay kit and was going put the control switch in the choke hole but I really like the phone mount idea.

And I would convert to a real working Manual Choke. Because how does some dumb bi-metal switch know when I want or Don't Want, the choke.

I was thinking a good place for Gear Vendor Overdrive switch. I like the kill switch theft deterrent.
