Most folks just do a front sway bar on their trucks as its a great upgrade especially for the price. I put a rear one on my truck ( pictured ) because I wanted to and for my usage of the truck really didn't need it. Thanks for the link! Looks like a front is a must and the rear is debated..

The front is heavy and the motor moves the center of gravity up. I like the front sway bars for these reasons. I have a rear sway-bar and am going to remove it to see if I can get my truck to track straight when the tires are spinning. It becomes a handful fast and I am not really sure why. So I agree, the rear one is not really needed.

You should re-shim the rear to correct the spindle angle when lowering the trailing arm trucks.

When I lowered my truck 4 inches, I avoided the re-shimming by moving the front of the trailing arms up. I did this by turning the brackets, at the forward attachment points, upside down. Drilled out the rivets and used bolts to reattach the bracket. I may have had to re-drill two holes, that I can't remember for sure. I confirmed the u-joint angles, after lowering, and it was withing GM tolerances. I wish I could get pictures but not possible right now.

The aftermarket rear cross-members do the same thing, raise the attachment points. I really couldn't see any advantage, to the aftermarket part, over what I did. Allegedly, it retains the anti-squat built into the factory geometry.

Another 4” static drop here. Progressive rate 4” drop springs, new spring retainer hardware, new U bolts, shock relocation kit, adjustable trac bar, and drop shocks. Sounds like a lot but it goes together pretty quick and easy.
