3/4 ton brake booster

Will a 3/4 ton brake booster bolt right up in place of the original booster. I have read that it will provide more stopping power. I am doing a fair bit of work to my Blazer this weekend, and since I am replacing the master cylinder, I thought I would get a new booster as well.
