Exclamation NOR CAL PARTS FYI (rear sway bars)

For anyone interested...

Went to the pick n pull in Rocklin CA yesterday (about 20 minutes East of Sacramento off I-80). There was a 67-68 C/20 there, along with several camaros with rear sway bars that can be adapted to 67-72 trucks. If I'd had the time and the right tools, I would have yanked them.

How hard are they to adapt, have you did it? Does it only help out with traction mostly or handling? Thanks

I have the bar and about 1/2 of the hardware. Everyone who's done it says it smooths out the corners even more than simply having a front bar.

NeonLarry has the whole set-up mapped out with pictures... I'll try to find his thread.

Forgot to mention... there was also a Buick I think (or Olds) there with the front flipping hood and perfect hinges for someone interested in that set-up on their truck.

sactoC10,

Do you like that pick N pull in Rocklin? I went there a few times a couple years back and they never had anything. Have they gotten better? I always want to go to the Pick N pull in Rancho, I was told it has more selection, but I don't know.

Do you know of anywhere around here that is good for our trucks, I need alot of parts but never know where to go.

Pick-n-Pull

The Sacto area Pick-n-Pulls are hit and miss. The first time I went to the Rocklin one they had at least three 67-72's (one with tow hooks which I purchased for $15.00). Other times they don't have anything. The Rancho one is the same way. Last time I went they only had one. I went to the Fairfield one last week and they had nothing.

The one in Rocklin is the only one I've ever paid the $2 to enter...last time I was there I was looking at Ford stuff and it seemed a bit less organized (couple of years ago). This time it seemed much better, but maybe it was just a lucky day. Haven't been into the one in Rancho, or Fairfield.
