not to steal the thread but can you use the dynamat and insulation with the foil on top in place of the firewall insulation cardboard stuff or should I use this in ADDITION to the insulation?

dynamat (and others like it) should go directly on the metal. You don't have to cover the entire piece either. Just the larger flat areas to dampen them. Inside door skins can be done as well...

14 years old thread ...and I was 57 then ...do the math ....
this reassemble will be # 2 for me but I always look at what others have done so I can try NOT to make the same mistake again and the memory isn't what it use to be....so resurrecting this thread seems to help not just me just got the cab back Saturday from bodyshop and so it begins....thats what's great about this community lots of great info just got to look for it ....good luck to all
