I have friends in Mount Joliet that moved there 10+ years ago. If I had my choice, I would pick Smithville over Centerville.

Smithville will have more auto parts places and grocery stores.

Centerville is more Rural thou and that might be what you are looking for.

Several months ago, I went to Bon Aqua for some lawnmower parts.
Thats about 25 miles from Centerville.

I was surprised to see they still have gravel roads down there.

They have already paved over all the ones around here.
