Bed bolt torque

Think I read this correctly in the assembly manual. 15-24 lbs torque for C10 steel bed floor? Split it and go 20? I don't want to over tighten and suck in the bolt heads and on the the hand have the bed come loose.

Re: Bed bolt torque

Standard bolts, I just tighten them until the lock washer collapses and a little snug after that and call it good.

Stainless bolts are a little more finicky to keep from galling unless you use a dab of grease or anti-seize on every one (which you almost have to do)

Re: Bed bolt torque

Thanks. I did like you said. Tightened until washer collapsed. Gave it a little more until my elbow clicked.

Re: Bed bolt torque

What torque does your elbow click at?

And - is it adjustable?
