Astro van steering column in square body

Hey

Im putting together and old beater truck i got, but parts like the column and alot of other stuff is gone.

I got a friend who has a 88 or 89 astro van that is rotten that is going to get scraped in the near future, As parts for US vehicles in general are crazy expensive over here in europe, i was thinking about adapating it to my C30. the few columns i have found for square body here forsale or have been offerd when i seached for them want in the neigborhood of 1000$ for used sloppy one with no keys.

So a google and the mounting bracket looks the same so im woundering if it can be made to work on a square body truck?

Im picking other stuff like the good 700r4 for a core rebuild to go onto the the 350 that i have for this also
