Spared from admitting he was right until another day! Anyway, this evening I replaced the connector housings with a set I got from a late '80s van at the wrecking yard. It was fairly straightforward to pop the pins out to transfer them over.

The GM part number on that injector connector is 12102568.
AC Delco PT285 is the terminated injector connector pigtail.
