Intake Manifold
I saw a thread about a tee that goes into the exhaust manifold behind the carb for the booster and something else. Anyway with the search feature gone I cant find that thread. Does anyone know if gm still makes these t adapters? The stores near my house have the cheap plastic ones that keep splitting on me.
Thanks |

I generally just raid the junk yards for one. You might also try a hardware store rather than a parts house.

You'd be better off lookin on the intake manifold, and not the exhaust manifold.
Look on the older cars, and esp the ones with cruise control, they usually have them. One thing to mention though, depending on what you plan on running on the one hose, and how much vacume your engine makes, you may experience problems with your vacume operated items. |

Seriously, though. Just curious as to why that might be a problem.

Well, i know on my cammed out small block with hardly any vacume, I tried running the vac advance and the tranny modulator off of one line with the afformentioned T-fitting.
It didn't shift, and it bogged like a mother from the timing being a little off. Some items like lots of vacume, like a PCV, and a brake booster. The vac will go like water and like electricity...the path of least resistance, so the PCV will probably take all the vacume and leave the brake pedal rock hard. |

If you are not able to find a vacuum tree, try Paragon as they have a great selection.
