Grounding Rear Mount Gas Tank?
I got a rear mount gas tank from LMC to go between the frame rails on my 69 C10.
Just wondering whats the best way to ground the actual tank. The sending units grounded.. Weld a threaded stud on the tank? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Grounding Rear Mount Gas Tank?
Use one of the screws that fasten the sending unit, tie it to your ground system….

Does the tank itself need grounded or just the sending unit ?

Re: Grounding Rear Mount Gas Tank?
Sounds like someone may be having a gas gauge problem. I know I have with mine, the tank it self is grounded to the frame. I'm thinking I may have to pull the bed to install a ground on the unit it self.

Re: Grounding Rear Mount Gas Tank?
I've used rubber to isolate my tank - that was the reason for my question. Does the tank itself need to grounded for any reason?
I grounded my fuel pump and my gauge separately..... actually now that I write it out I would think my tank is grounded through both of those

Re: Grounding Rear Mount Gas Tank?
The tank doesn't need to be grounded. I've never seen a ground wire running from the frame to the tank.
