mirror placement
Could someone give me the measurements of screw locations of the stock mirrors for a 67? My truck was bondo ed up years ago and I can't find evidence of their location. Thanks in advance.

Here's mine. When you take the door panel off check inside the door to see if the mounting plates are laying in the bottom. Many people remove the mirrors from the outside and just let the mounting plates fall to the bottom of the door. You will notice that the passenger arm is longer. LockDoc

Re: mirror placement
Yes it does, but I bet the people that needed to use them on the assembly line knew what everything meant. LockDoc

Re: mirror placement
Thanks Leon.
On the manual, the .86 dimension is the most critical, but I can't tell what it is referencing. Apparently, it is a more stable point than the edge of the door....lol. I ordered both mirror arms and 2 mounting plates as I vacuumed the inside of the doors and cleared the drain holes when I first bought the truck. |

Re: mirror placement
I have bought new doors and didn't want to drill any holes in it, so I am going with a set of these...

No problem. That is the trouble with almost all of the illustrations in the Assembly Manual. They are missing the most important starting point. LockDoc '

I hope you have better luck with those than I do. I have those on two of my vehicles and they are pretty much useless.... LockDoc

Re: mirror placement
You'll wish you didn't , They come loose , scratch the paint and are basically useless .
