1961 chevy dash knobs
What years came with the knobs with the letters in the middle in white? I have some standard-no chrome ring, C-choke, T-throttle, and V-vent...I found the 1 vent knob I have on a 61 60 series, I am not sure what I got my choke and throttle ones off of... Did they do a L for lights, and W for wipers?
this is the only pic I have in my files, and it has the chrome ring- throttle...

Re: 1961 chevy dash knobs
Only 1960 and 1961 I believe. No W or L.

Re: 1961 chevy dash knobs
So what does the T do? Is that a throttle lock?
What vent does the V control? Thanks |

Re: 1961 chevy dash knobs
The V controls the kick panel vents.
The throttle knob is for setting the throttle at a point higher than idle for a variety of reasons. Probably got used a lot to keep a truck moving through the field while the farmer walked alongside tossing stuff in the bed

And the throttle lock is a great idea. I’ve operated a lot of equipment with similar “analog” speed controls. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 1961 chevy dash knobs
My cigarette lighter in my 62 has a "C" on it but I think it was stolen from the choke.
