Threshold Plate?
For those who have these, are they glued or screwed on?
Not seeing holes in the LMC plates so assume glued (self stick?) https://www.lmctruck.com/1967-72-che...old-plate-sets I would not mind if there were rubber available although the LMC SS would go with the SS sill plates currently on the truck. There are some nicks in the paint on threshold so was considering threshold covers as it's a high traffic spot prone to nicks and paint chips. I do see 38-2434 in the LMC link for a rubber one although it's for Suburban. Isn't threshold same length as C10...or?...maybe cut them down?? https://www.lmctruck.com/1967-72-che...ill-plate-sets |

Re: Threshold Plate?
I have some aluminum diamond tread thresh hold plates on my '68 C/10 Stepside. I drilled 4 holes in each and screwed them down.
I bought them at Checker Auto years ago. I have not seen this type for sale for a while.

Re: Threshold Plate?
These threshold plates the OP is talking about are accessories, similar to a tailgate protector. They sit on top of the rocker panel and bend over the outer edge. Usually stainless, but there used to be ones made in diamond plate aluminum

Re: Threshold Plate?
Got the LMC Threshold Cover installed. Self-stick, stainless steel. Fit is excellent. They tuck under the door opening rubber and the rolled edge fits snug against threshold.
Painted threshold was getting nicks so these should resolve that and easily wipe clean. Fortunately, being SS they do not exceed the allowable chrome limit I have. |

Re: Threshold Plate?
300 series stainless steel (the type that doesn't rust) is at least 18% Chromium. I like those, though, and may get a set for my truck.
