The trim panel on my '74 Cheyenne Super is screwed on, the screws go through the tailgate into the trim piece. Cheyenne Super's had the large filler panel not the skinny one that fit into the recessed area on the gate. I don't have a good picture of the screws though since the spray in bed liner covered them up. Wow, so the screws go all the way through the tailgate and then screw into the clips on the back of the panel. I wish someone sold the correct screws for this. Seems like something you want to get right the first time....
