Looking for 1970 K20 build sheets

Hi guys,

I don't have the build sheet for my 1970 Fremont K20. I would like to replicate as best I can all the factory stamps and tags on parts or subassemblies where appropriate. The build sheet would have the letter or number code that would be stamped on the transmission or alternator or on a decal on the engine or shocks (or a lot of other stuff). These codes can vary for the same RPO between model years and between truck models. That's why I'm just asking for 1970 K20s. Here's a pic of a 1970 Fremont K20 that is not my truck. Unfortunately, my truck has options that are not on this truck...so I'm hunting for more.

So if anybody has a build sheet for a 1970 K20 that they're willing to post I sure would appreciate it. Fremont is even better.

PS...we've got a build date thread and SPID threads...I think we need a build sheet thread.

Re: Looking for 1970 K20 build sheets

To give you a better picture of what I'm looking for...here are some pics from a build sheet from a '71. You can see the NB stamped on the alternator and noted in the alternator block (#28) on the build sheet.

If the decal on the shock hadn't faded, it'd say HU.

Thanks in advance for any help guys.

It sounds like you're already aware, but I just wanted to make sure you saw posts 63 and 64 here. If you follow some of the 1970 gmc and chevy links for Fremont builds there should be some build sheet examples. I need to make some more updates on that thread. I have some more to add.

I thought I'd looked at all those posts, but you inspired me to go back through it to make sure I hadn't missed one. I went through all the plants that made K trucks in 1970, and unfortunately there are no 'KE2' build sheets in there.

I love that thread and appreciate the effort that goes into tending it.
